Boarding Solution For An Airline

Overview

Sketched and developed a native iOS mobile application for a budget airline. Boarding agents from the departure control system of the operator use this application.

This application is a queue buster where customers end up spending less time in queuing experience. Key modules part of this application is check-in, boarding, document verification, and pass printouts.

Challenge

To create a connected platform to enable agents of airlines to reduce the boarding time of the flight, enabling them to save time on the boarding process and track boarding baggage. This need to be a part of the Departure Control System of the Flight Operator.

Solution

This application is a queue buster where customers end up spending less time in queuing experience. The app lists the flights that are scheduled to depart from the airport. Users also can search for a particular flight. Agents can select a flight and start boarding passengers by scanning the QR code of the boarding passes. There is a separate flow for passengers with gate comments, where agents can view and take necessary actions on the gate comments before boarding that passenger. Key modules part of this application is check-in, boarding, document verification, and pass printouts.
